Glenside Fire Company participates in numerous fire prevention activities throughout the year in order to educate the public about fire related dangers they may face on a daily basis.  We also focus on creating plans of action for families in the event of a fire.  We have numerous school and community groups visit our firehouse throughout the year and we also go out into the community and give presentations.  If your organization would like a fire prevention presentation, contact Matthew Scholly by email or any other GFC member.

We have custom coloring books for children as well as stickers, plastic fire helmets, and fire apparatus trading cards.  You can stop by our firehouse to receive these items or view them online and print copies for your children.  Click on the images below to preview:

Channel 6 ABC SAVE-A-LIFE

Every year Glenside Fire Co. participates in the 6 ABC Save-A-Life.  Channel 6 and local fire companies team with corporate sponsors to create awareness about fire safety and distribute free smoke detectors to residents.  Last year Kidde corporation supplied 20,000 free smoke detectors to be handed out by fire companies.  Station 1 periodically has smoke detector details where members go door to door distributing these smoke detectors and talking to residents about fire safety.  If you live in our fire district and would like a free smoke detector contact Matthew Scholly, stop by our station, or contact a GFC officer.
