Glenside Fire Company is always looking for new members to volunteer and help our organization achieve its strategic objectives.  Volunteer firefighting looks great on resumes for colleges and jobs and gives every member a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.  Our firefighters come from all walks of life including electricians, laborers, accountants, police officers, mechanics, computer technicians, and high school and college students. 

Firefighting is a challenging activity, however the rewards associated with this volunteer profession are immeasurable.  Firefighting embraces and enhances numerous critical life skills such as effective communication, team work, risk and reward assessment, hard work and physical fitness.  The foundation of the Glenside Fire Company rests on our Honor, Pride, and Commitment in meeting and exceeding our own expectations as well the expectations of the people we serve.
