Event Overview

Join the Glenside Fire Company for our annual Stop, Drop & Run 5K and 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk, an exciting community fundraiser that supports our all-volunteer fire department. Whether you're running for time, walking for fun, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation helps keep our community safe.

Event Options

• 5K Road Race
  A two-loop course through Glenside with scenic views and rolling hills. Officially timed.

• 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk
  A one-loop untimed event perfect for families, kids, and casual walkers.

Registration & Shirt Deadline

Note: Shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed after the deadline.

Race Day Highlights

• Free breakfast for participants

• Water station along the course

• Beer garden (21 and over only)

• Music, entertainment, and community fun on the firehouse grounds

Awards

Awards will be given for the 5K to:

• Overall Top Male & Female Finishers

• Age Group Winners:

  • Kids: 7 & Under, 8–10, 11–14

  • Adults: 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70 and over

Teams & Fundraising

• Form a team and run together – the largest team will receive special recognition

• Help us meet our $5,000 fundraising goal to support training, equipment, and firehouse operations

• Donations are welcome with or without race participation

About the Course

• The 5K course is a two-loop route with gentle hills, starting and ending at the firehouse

• The 1.5 Mile Walk is one loop of the same course

• Ample parking and access to public transportation nearby

About Glenside Fire Company

Founded in 1900, Glenside Fire Company proudly serves Cheltenham Township as a 100 percent volunteer department. We respond to hundreds of emergencies each year and rely on fundraising events like the Stop, Drop & Run 5K to maintain readiness, upgrade equipment, and ensure top-tier training for our firefighters.
