
2019 Pierce 1500 GPM Pumper
Engine 1 serves as the primary structural fire attack apparatus of the Glenside Fire Company. It features seating for six firefighters, along with a 750-gallon water tank and a 1500 GPM pump. Engine 1’s attack line complement includes a 150’ front bumper line, two 200’ crosslays, and three long lines off the back of the apparatus. Engine 1 was designed with a short wheelbase and a low hosebed to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.

2004 Pierce 100ft Aerial
Ladder 1 is a 100’ rear mount aerial ladder. The addition of this apparatus provides Glenside Fire Company with additional operational capacity, as the truck also includes a pump, water tank, and handline. Ladder 1 is equipped with a wide array of ground ladders, forcible entry tools, and ventilation / forcible entry saws. Ladder 1 is also equipped for RIT operations, rope rescue, elevator rescue, residential rescue, etc. The apparatus also includes a 250GPM pump, 400-gallon water tank, and a front bumper attack line.

2001 Ford Special Service
Special Service 1 is a Ford F350 that is utilized in a number of different capacities. The truck carries air packs, hand tools, saws, and various other equipment. It carries firefighters and specialized equipment to incidents, and it is also used to transport contaminated hose and equipment from fire scenes to ensure they are properly cleaned prior to being returned to fire suppression apparatus. Special Service 1 also functions in an important administrative capacity as it is used to transport firefighters to fire training at local fire academies, as well as training props and materials to the Cheltenham Township fire training complex.

1997 Seagrave 2000 GPM Pumper
Engine 1-1 served the Glenside Fire Company as the first out pumper for 22 years. In its new role, it is the primary apparatus for vehicle rescues, vehicle fires, brush / trash fires, and electrical wires call, while serving as the second out pumper for all other types of calls. With its 2000GPM pump and 750-gallon water tank, Engine 1-1 will continue to faithfully serve Glenside Fire Company just as it has for nearly 30 years.
1972 Seagrave
Featuring original parts and components including the body paint, the 1972 Seagrave is powered by a Wakeshau six cylinder gasoline engine. The 1972 Seagrave features a 1000 GPM pump, 300-gallon water tank, and an automatic transmission. Much of the original hose remains on the truck and as time has passed, the truck has maintained its 1972 appearance. The truck still features 3-inch supply line, jones snap fittings and most all of its original equipment
