| Today, we honor and remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget their courage, their sacrifice, or the brotherhood and selflessness displayed that day.
This past Wednesday, 4 members of GFC participated in The Great American Relay, which is a 7-day tribute run to honor the heroes of 9/11 and supports our veterans. The run starts at the Flight 93 Memorial, makes its way to the Pentagon, and then finishes at the World Trade Center. The 4 members of GFC, along with 7 amazing members of our community, ran the baton 5.2 miles from Glenside Fire Company to Fort Washington Fire Company in honor of those who lost their lives 25 years ago. |
